Ok, as this thread has gone off the rails a little and the good point by hancocaj I'm going to post some info on this set:
The TV has 2 HDMI 1.2v, 2 scarts (1rgb), component and VGA,
1080p can be done through all (other than the scarts)
It has not got freeview built in but this can be seen as a good thing (less to go wrong)
There is some overscanning through both hdmi's that cannot be turned off so 1:1 mapping is not an option. From what I've read it's about 5%. This appears to be the only thing wrong with this set, Samsung are aware of this and are looking into a solution.
All other comments have been extremely positive for the TV, picture quality is said to be very good with sky sd and hd. Users who have tried HD material have praised the set. Obviously, picture quality is down to the viewers eyes but I have read that it's on par with the Sony X series.
I'll try to keep this post up to date so please either PM me or reply at the end of the thread any additional information I have left out.

The overscan issue is also present with component with roughly the same %

Thanks to Magoosteruk and others Samsung CS have firmware updates and leads to give a "Just Scan" option that will give 1:1 mapping through HDMI.

Original post:
According to the Samsung customer care centre nothing has been confirmed for the F series accepting 1080p, even though the site says it does!
All I want to know is if the 1080p is restricted to its HDMI jack or included in the VGA/Component jacks.....
"The new F series has not been officially confirmed as accepting the
1080P standard as yet, however the 1080i is compatible and will be
available when using HDMi or component connections, If the unit can
accept 1080P we can only assume this will be through the same inputs.
Please check www.samsung.com for future updates to this information as
the product is still new and information is still being built and
distributed.
I hope this has beenof some assistance to you. If you do have any
further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
