    Hi,

Has anyone actually seen or have the new Samsung HD-935
Is the judder issue that bad as it says in the HCC review?

I would really like to take advantage of the DVI input on my Plasma, as I feel the component out on my old Sony 725 probably isnt as good as the DVI input can give.

    Best regards David

Judder? Where they talking about the deinterlacer? If they where I don't think the problems is much, if any, of an issue. But then again I'm mental enough to put up with DLP rainbows so who knows!

One thing, its DVI out does appear to deliver a picture with a green tint on some (not all) discs. Its possible that this is caused by my PJ and not the player as I get a similar effect the DVD's played via my PC's DVI out.

    I use a 935 via DVI to a Z2 and it's fantastic on all my discs R1, R2, R3 and R4.

    Judder, can't say I've noticed.:)

There will be judder caused by frame rate conversion from 50 to 60Hz....at least I presume that is what they are talking about. Whether you notice it or care is the question. I guess personal viewing is the only solution to that one

You never noticed the green tint? Blackhawk Down shows it up pretty serverly, best way to see it is to swap between the component and DVI inputs on the PJ and it sits out like a saw thumb.

    Detail is superb though...

It could be that the DVI input and component input are loading up different settings in background of your PJ not necessarily that the DVD is doing things differently.....you need to swap one out to confirm where the issue is

Yes that is what they were talking about the conversion from 50 to 60hz.I just wondered if it would be too much of a problem to be acceptable on a 42" screen?

You are only likely to see it on pans. Also it depends how it's being done how bad it looks. I have watched quite alot of material on 42/43 plasma's with frame rate conversion from a scaler adn not found it too distracting

Ok thanks for that Gordon, now the price is so cheap for the Samsung I may just go and get one, seems a pity not to use the DVI input if its there and better quality too?

    Best regards David

I seem to get the same with Video fed from my PC so, I'm guessing that the PJ is the problem. I need to get round to hasseling Sharp for the Z200's service menue key sequence (annoyingly sequence from 9000 or 10000 doesn't work :( ).
