DVI signal booster, do they exist and do they work ?

Hoping to go the Samsung DVD-HD935 via DVI-D to Sanyo PLV-Z2 but have read 5m is max dvi cable length for good signal transfer.

Have noted on Amercian based forums people have used electonic signal amplifiers etc.

    I need to run a dvi-d cable circa 14m.

If this is not possible what is the maximum length a good component cable can run too, if i switch to a Denon DVD2200

    Thanks in advance.

Max recommended cable length for DVI is supposedly 7.5m.

    Many do better.

I use a Samsung 935 with a 10m DVI cable and have no problems at all.

    Cheers
    Marc
