Hello,

I have got a Packard bell lcd 300sw screen with a dvi connector and a samsung hd 945 dvd player with an hdmi connector.
I try to use an hdmi-dvi cable to connect the two but it did not work.

I suppose it is due to the fact that the lcd is not hdcp compliant, i search a lot of forum or manufacturer document but no info on this matter.

Do you know if it is possible to disable hdcp for the samsung hd 945 ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi:

yes, the HD945 it's HDCP. I'm also interested on this player. As soon you can disable HDCP (if possible) tell us about the picture quality of the player. On the homecinemachoice review of the 935 they tell how to disable the HDCP. Try this, it might work on the 945.

I thought the player wasn't available until the 8th of November.

i bought this player last week in France (fnac) and as i can see so far the quality is good for the price (250 €),

The only problem i can see until now is the incompatibility with the connectivity of my display...

Hi:

so, have you been hable to solve your problem? If not, how are connecting it? So far, what's your opnion on the picture quality? Have you noticed any problems? Some short review of the player would be nice, to all of us that are wainting to find it.
