Samsung DVD-F1080 Multi-region Hack

Just got my new player today, but after trying for 3 hours... just cannot get the hack found on the internet to work!!!

I just cannot get rid of the 'no disc' text off the top left hand corner no matter what button I pressed.

Can someone help?
My current firmware is 080618.14.d.f1080xeg
