Hi
I have a new Samsung DVD 1080 p7 player hooked up to a new Samsung 46550 lcd tv via HDMI. I really like the picture quality, but the sound drops out for a sec or two like every 5-6 minutes. Anyone know the reason why or something I can do to fix this problem? I believe if I use standard component cables, the audio issue goes away, but I love the picture quality using HDMI.

Any help I would greatly appreciate!!!

I think I solved my problem. I switched the video to manuel resolution 1080i instead of 1080p. Now no audio drop outs. Anyone know why this happens?

Also I was testing out some of my dvds and when I got to Star Wars Phantom Menance, I noticed the DVD player is alot louder. So far it was only this dvd that made the player louder. Seemed strange. Luckily you can only barely notice the sound when the movie is playing (and luckliy its not the greatest movie)

Any thoughts on the 1080i vs 1080p or the sound issue? TV is a Samsung 46' 550 1080
