    Guys,

First post here from a new member.

I've purchased an ex-display Samsung BD-7500 blu ray player which didn't come with the leads. The player should have had a power adaptor and an AV cable.

    1) Does anyone know if the power lead needed for this player is positive or negative polarity ?
    2) What AV cable do I need for this player.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

    David.

Have you downloaded the user manual from Samsung's website? That should have the PSU requirements.
As for the cable, I assume you mean output. In that case a HDMI cable, no need to pay a lot of money just a basic one for a short distance should be fine.

Thanks for your swift reply. I've checked the user manual and no mention is made of the polarity of PSU. Also, the AV cable I refer to has a 3.5mm jack on one end and three coloured connectors on the other. I already have connected up the HDMI cable.

The below link shows the documentation available online for this player:-

Any further help would be very much appreciated.

If you already have connected the HDMI cable, no need for anything else.

Have resolved this now. If anyone else has the same question, the answer is:-

    1) the power supply for this player is 'tip positive' polarity.
    2) the Samsung item code for the power supply is AK44-00012E
    3) the Samsung item code for the AV cable is BN3901154E

I am in a similar situation to DavidWMorgan, I have two BD-7500 blu ray players that didn't come power adapters. A replacement Samsung adapters cost £36 each (well over priced), therefore I have gathered together the following information from various sources:

    Input 100 - 240v 0.7A, 50 - 60Hz
    Output 12V - 2A/3A upto 36W.

There are many adapters of this specification sold on ebay but in order to ensure the adapter power jack fits into the rear of the player I need to get the correct size of jack.

I believe the possible sizes are: 3mm, 3.7mm, 4.5mm or 5mm. If DavidWMorgan or another owner of a BD-7500 blu ray player could measure the size of the jack then I would up and running.

    Thanks for your help,
    Chris :smashin:

    Hi,

Not sure of the exact size of the plug as I don't have an accurate tool to measure. I bought a Switched Mode AC to DC Adaptor (code L11BQ) from Maplins which works fine.
