Thanks for the great review. Once 'User' picture mode is chosen should all settings be then left to default '0' and then all picture adjustments made in the tv picture settings menu? You mentioned 'Dynamic' and Movie' modes raise and lower the gamma...what about 'Normal' picture mode..?

wee question though: in general is there any benefit to be had from getting a player of the same make as your TV? (I've a Sony) or is there no real reason to limit yourself?

How do the D5500 and D6500 compare to this player. I know there are slight differences like lack of wi-fi and browser but are they technically the same inside?
