Hi all and happy new year to you all.
My fathers Samsung tv backlights went just before Christmas, did the torch check and could see picture in background.
So thought no harm in getting backlights and changing them as tv already be scrapped so nothing ventured nothing gained.
I tested the backlights when dismantled and indeed most where gone.
I changed them over and hey presto.
All back together and working a treat, but (lol)
You can see the individual backlights on dark images, like a royal plumb I took photos of first part taking apart then somehow forgot after.
Have I put the white solid piece the wrong way round I wonder?
Once the led screen is out there is a white solid plastic sheet bout 2-3mm thick and then a thin film sheet before the leds. As I didn’t mark how these came out have I possibly got something wrong way round?
Have turned backlights down which helped a little but not totally defeated.
TV is Samsung UE40H5000AK
Thank you for your help
