Hi All,
Samsung AU9000 (55) owners, what settings do you use?
I'm looking best picture settings for this tv. I haven't calibration tools or software.

I don't have AU9000, but i played a little bit with 65" in my local Currys.
All Samsungs are the same. Movie picture preset is the most accurate.
Put brightness to max, and if color temperature Warm2 is to warm for you try Warm1.
For HDR you probably have to use contrast enhancer to make image brighter.

Discarded the idea of both the x90j and Q80A. Slight increase in budget but the Philips 55OLED706 can be had for £849 from AO currently and i feel that’s a super deal pre-BF.

I know they don't. But I've done a lot of research. Korean 65 inch also comes with SDC (FA01) panels.

US Q80A = ADS (except 50, 85'')
EU Q80A = VA
QN85A = ADS (except 85'')
EU QN90A = ADS (except 43 60Hz ,50, 85'')
EU QN9xA = US QN90A = VA (so 91/92/93/94 or + OCB 95/97)
NEO 8K' = VA

I would also look for a 55'' XH95, U8QF or even an OLED705. You will gain in HDR, but you will lose 4K120 and VRR for gaming. The 49XH95 reaches around 800 nits whereas it's brother is rated 1070 nits by the same reviewer. Which means it sits closer to the Q80A/T than the 55XH95.

How can I confirm if my Samsung Q80A 65 inches has a VA or an ADS panel? Please see attached photo. Many thanks in advance for your help.

You can't as Europe doesn't include version letters. You need to check the service menu with a regular remote, tap/drag across the screen for a flash or take a macro shot with a decent camera at the TVs pixel structure, see also
All I can tell it's a 'Spanish' version and it'll have a CSOT or SDC panel. First will be option: 65S1xxx and the other 65A1xxx in the service menu, such as this.

Thank you for your reply. The tv came with the solar smart remote - it didn’t include a regular remote. Is there any other way? Thank you

Not sure maybe via the joystick or a remote app on your smartphone.
I already mentioned the other VA indicators.
