I burn alot of DVD's and on my old DVD player (Pioneer) they played no problem, however they seem to stick on this player on any setting 576p / 720p / 1080i.

I played around with loads of settings then finally I changed the output to NTSC and they now all played flawlessly.

Just wanted to know if NTSC resolution at 720p or 1080i is the same as PAl, quality wise.

Also it might just be me but the PQ on either 576p (PAL) or 480p (NTSC) seems slightly better than either to the hi def settings - all going through HDMI, infact the PQ on LOTR on this setting is the best I have seen period on any screen (my screen is PIO 435xde).

    Regards
