    I made an un-planned purchase and bought a 935 for my 503 MXE + 5002 setup.

I expected that 935 HDCP DVI output would not work on the 5002 board, but I tried it anyway.

To my suprise it worked!

Only 480p (NTSC DVD's) will work (5002 can only handle 480p), but I'm confused as to why HDCP encrypted material works on a non-HDCP compliant video board?

Any ideas? Maybe the HDCP encryption is disabled?

The picture is stunning, so I'm now looking at the Aurora A303-HDCP board

Any UK dealers? It's $540-ish, so with the current exchange rate, it makes it a very attractive alternative to the 5002.

    Has anyone reviewed\tried the A303?

    Hi,

I think other users of the 935 have stated that it doesn't appear to add HDCP - naughty Samsung! It's a shame you can't make use of the 720p DVI signal to the 5002 card, though. You might like to know that there is now the A304-HDCP board available which includes an additional component input on the DVI using a breakout cable. Sorry, I don't know of any UK dealers for Aurora, but www.plasmaextreme.us are highly recommended on AVSforum. Hope this helps.
