Bargain Expired Samsung 55" RU8000 in stock for £549 at Very

Probably the last chance to pick up a mid range spec model with a 120hz VA panel at this size. What with the Hisense 55U8B sold out that only really leaves the more overpriced Q60R/Q67R.

What's worse is 2020 Samsung's TU8000 all seem to be using 60hz panels.

these any good for general tv ? good price ?

Would you recommend paying £39 for an extra 3 year warranty?

would this be an upgrade compared to 48h6400 that we discussed a few weeks ago

the extended warranty is a great price? Or the tv is?

Is it on par with the h6400??
I mean the warranty. But the TV is too.
It's the minimum I'd upgrade too coming from the H6400. Although you may want to consider a higher end TV to get the biggest benefit from an upgrade as the RU8000 is still just a mid range model lacking good HDR hardware.

Buying a TV isn't just about resolution. A 4k model isn't going to be tremendously better than a HD one, especially one with similar kind of specs and only 55" in size. Despite resolutions being larger on TVs now very little has improved since 2014 with LCD TVs.

Ending up buying the ru8000 based on reviews and the 2020 equivalent using 60hz panel.

Ended up getting it for £494 by signing up to a very account. Paid off straight away.

Then added the 3 year warranty for £39.

Happy enough with the purchase.
