Samsung 5 year guarantee

Hi
Can someone shed some light in his this actually works?
Spoke to the distributor appliance electrical who said the guarantee is with Samsung.

I've called Samsung who referred me to their 3rd party company and registered the tv. No mention of how the warranty works.
So called Samsung back and they said the guarantee is with appliance electrical!!!

So far not impressed..

Does anyone know the process of registering and proving the warranty is valid? Even samsung themselves havent a clue!!

Is this a new Tv you've just bought?
If so from whom did you buy it?
Or did you buy it a while back, a fault has occurred and you want to get a repair done under warranty?
You've already stated you've called Samsung who referred you to "their 3rd party company" and they've registered the Tv...which "3rd party company"?
What exactly are you asking?
Wasn't there some guarantee/warranty paperwork supplied with the set?
Normally the retailer (not the product distributor) is responsible for any claims under warranty.

So it's a new tv. Bought from appliance electrical. They are so far useless and I don't trust them.

Just want to know how I get to prove the warranty is valid..
