I bought this TV from Richersounds 19 months ago, I was happy with the set until after 10 months I started to get backlight bleed through on the bottom right, I got Richersounds 6 year warranty with the set, so I got the screen replaced. 6 months later same thing happened, only on left side, so I got the screen replaced again. The local repair company Richersounds use came out and replaced the screen in my home, the replacement screen was faulty, so I had to wait a week for a new screen to arrive. This was fitted and all was good for 2 months. I got up early last Saturday morning to watch the second Lions test , switched on the TV and lo and behold no picture ! Once again I rang Richersounds, who arranged for the local repairer to pick the set up. 3 days later I rang and was told the screen needed replaced, again ! In the space of 19 months I'm waiting for screen replacement number 4. I'm pushing Richersounds to replace the TV as I no longer have any confidence in it. It cost me £1300 .
Can anyone tell me what my rights are ? Am I being unreasonable asking for a new TV ?
Richer sounds have told me they have to contact Samsung to see what they're prepared to do. Is this the norm with newer televisions ?
Bottom line is, I've spent (for me) a large sum of money for what I assumed would be a quality piece of kit, only to be totally let down by repeated failures.
Anyone had a similar experience ? And if so, what was the outcome ?
I'd appreciate any advice .
Thanks in advance.
