The new Sammy 46 incher is on sale at Robertsons Online for a very reasonable £1210 with a 5 year warranty for £261.

Anyone ever used this company? Are they reliable?

    Thanks

I ordered one last week from them, just waiting for my credit agreement to be accepted. I'll let you know how it goes :)

My personal experience is this :-

Ordered from Robertsons Online last Thursday (Samsung 50SPL7), cheapest price I'd seen. Rang Friday to confirm in stock and all arrived this morning at 0820. Had no problems at all.

now this Samsung - SP46L6HX............looks like the new HLR46, which is its U.S.A correct coding............but i could be wrong, BUT IT'S NOT EASY TO CHECK IS IT....because they all look the same, i have to do loads of research!

now i want to know why over here, it's not called the HLR46-U.K........good grief; this is so easy.

whatever the case i'm after the HLR56 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

come on Samsung wake up, because we all research on the U.S.A websites first; so we want to see it over here with the same name.

just had a quick look, this Samsung - SP46L6HX according to dealtime doesn't seem to be the HLR version, yes its a new tv but it's not the HLR range...........i think!

No - it's not a mess, it's perfectly simple. Four different codes for four different models.

The first link you posted is to the SP46L3HX not the SP46L6HX. This is an older model. You can see a difference between the two. In the SP46L6HX there is a distinct gap between the screen and the silver speaker grille that is not present in the SP46L3HX.

None of the UK sets have a corresponding USA set that is exactly the same, as all the US sets have digital tuners built in. Different design, different country, different code. Easy.

The set that Robertson's is advertising at £1210 is the new SP46L6HX. That's pretty clearly stated. What's so difficult about that? Pretty unambiguous I'd say.

    Where?

Have either of you taken out their extended warranty?

I noticed they state on their website that repairs are a "Rapid on-site service". As they are distributing throughout the UK and they are based in Scotland, they're obviously not going to send an engineer from there. Any idea how this works? Someone has suggested that they have an aarrangement where the manufacturers cover the repairs. Perhaps someone who has taken out the extended warranty could confirm?

    Thanks.

Anyone know anything about this SP50L6HX? The website states the spec and picture will come soon, implying that this is a new model. Could this by any chance be a 50" set without the centre pedestal?

Would be keen on this if it were the case. The only thing that puts me off the pedestal model is the difficulty of locating my centre speaker, and also the screen height - too high for my liking.

I ordered my SP46 on Tuesday 2nd August. I was told that I would have to wait between a week and ten days. Can't wait. I'll keep you informed.
