I'm not too good on TV's and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I've currently got a 26" Sammy that I've had about 18months now and am wanting to upgrade to a larger TV. I've never had a problem with the one I have so I'm thinking of going for another Sammy.

I'll be using it as the main TV in the living room and always use it for my 360, and moving my current one into the bedroom.

I've narrowed it down to two, was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

How about the Samsung LE40R87BDX, the newer (and better) version of the R74 above, its a cool TV (I have one) and seem sfine for now look at the other threads about it.

Get it for about £800 which is £100 better spent thn the older R74

    cheers

So whats the difference between the R7 and R8 then? Whats the R8 got that's worth spending the extra £100 on?

Found the R8 at £765 at Dixons.

I take it the one from Asda isn't as good as these R series models no?
