Samsung 3D BD5900 & Optoma Projector Problems

Standard Member

I wonder if any guru's out there could help me. I have a Samsung BD5900 3D Blu-Ray player that is connected to an Optoma HD65 projector via a Pioneer VSX-520 amp. All of the HDMI cables are 1.4 platinums and my splitter is a HdCable (3d capable). I tried to play a 3D disc for the first time yesterday to be faced with the dreaded black screen and the message stating 'The Blu-Ray player has detected that you do not have a 3D compatible display unit'.
When I go into the settings menu on the projector, the 3D option is set to off. The only options I have are DLP Link and IR. However, both of these options are greyed out. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong.
I would sincerely appreciate any advice as I am completely stuck. Many thanks.
