I have a 26 Inch LCD Samsung HDTV and a bog standard Sharp stereo system (BA1700). I have just moved my two main speakers so that they are either side of the TV. They are very close, almost touching the TV.

Is there any chance there could be any interference or damage done to the TV. Apologies for my question but I am a bit dumb when it comes to these things !!

Check with Sharp to establish if they are shielded
If they are - no problem
    If not-MOVE:lesson: :lesson: :lesson:

Im fairly sure unshielded speakers only affect CRT sets due to the magnets found within, but you might wish to get extra confirmation on that.

Unshielded speakers have no affect on an LCD. A CRT works by firing electrons at the screen which are targeted ues magnets hence why it is a bad idea to have unshielded speakers close to them.
