    Hi there guys,

Selling a Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook, as new. I bought two of these as open box B stock (basically new returns) privately, one was going to be a gift but that's changed. Haven't used it apart from turning it on and checking it all works. I am using the other one daily as my Ultraportable.

    It's a great laptop.
    Specs:
    Intel Core i5 1.7GHz (turbo to 2.6Ghz)
    6GB RAM
24GB SSD expresscache (intelligently learns what programmes you use, and your windows bootup to speed them up)
    500GB HDD
    13.3" Anti-Glare Display,
HDMI, ethernet, 3x USB, card reader.
    Windows 7 Premium 64 Bit

Looking for £490 BT or PPG or closest offer (or you pay fees if normal method). Normally like £700 in shops

Will be posted by tracked courier, UK only.

    Location: SE London , UK.
I have read the trading rules and agree to abide by them at all times until the transaction is concluded to the satisfaction of all parties involved : Yes.

    2) Name and address including postcode
    3) Valid e-mail address (no disposable addresses such as @gmail or @yahoo for example).

Also we advise that the vendor post images of the items for sale. This helps your sale by showing the condition of the goods prior to dispatch.

Cool, then its the exact same spec except windows 7.

Condition of the laptop is new, no dead pixels or anything, i turned it on and checked everything was perfect (if required i can post pictures of anything you want to see)
Bought them from a private seller who had some, decided im only going to keep one. Don't think there is any warranty unless maybe samsung provides one if you register with them, but with no receipt i doubt it.

Would you be willing to post first?
Based on no warranty and only Windows 7 I can offer £400.
    Thanks

Only because you have a lot of feedback i may consider doing 50-50 payment.
But £400 is much too low sorry. (also windows 7 is much better than windows 8 :p)

If I bought the laptop I'd be wanting to upgrade to Windows 8 therefore have based my offer on the extra cost. I'd prefer Windows 8 though I'd agree not everyone would.
    Thanks

Any chance of a meet in London to save postage costs? (£25 for special delivery). I recently bought a series 9, but I'm considering a change to the series 5 as I want a bigger hard drive.

I'd check the insurance terms with Parcel2go to make sure they properly insure laptops. I bought the series 9 from someone on here recently and the only fully insured carrier was RM Special Delivery. Some would allow top up insurance, but have funny terms when it comes to laptops.

I live in Essex. But I work near Liverpool street.

What resolution is the screen? Can't see it on the link.

Trying to weigh up pros and cons of a 'downgrade' from my series 9 (which is only a week old!)

This is the screen spec: "13.3" SuperBright 300nit HD LED Display (1366 x 768), Anti-Reflective".

Samsung NP530U3C Series 5 13.3-inch HD LED Notebook , this thing is the same spec I think except it has pro instead of premium windows.

I havent seen the series 9 in person, but the series 5 is indeed very nice. When you remove the stickers (iv removed it on mine, obv the one im selling still has them on) its a very clean design. Obviously lifted from apple lol.

I think the design of the 5 is similar to the 9, but it is thicker and weighs about 40% more (the 9 is 1.1kg, the 5 is 1.5kg). 9 has 128mb SSD, 1600*900 Screen which are the two things I'd miss

Am tempted, but more than I wanted to spend. Will be my third new laptop in as many months and I've lost money selling each one on.

elrao, sorry to post the question here, but is the SSD on a series 9 same as the one on a MacBook Air? Is an upgrade possible ?

If so I maybe interested in it if you decide to sell it

I'd go to £430 by BT, meet to collect at Liverpool Street.

Silvertag - no idea about the SSD on the series 9. If I buy this 5 then the 9 will be up for sale later that day.

Agreed to pay via PPG, in case BT didn't go through before morning.

£30 deposit sent, balance to pay on collection tomorrow morning once item checked.
