    If you were a Toshiba Accredited Laptop/notebook engineer - how much would you expect to be paid a year?

    I only ask as theres little on the interweb to help.

    probably nearer 20-22k where I live, but HW guys are generally in short supply in this neck of the woods....

    I've paid 12K for those kind of jobs as (not being nasty) but engineer is a big word for performing swap-outs....But I did give use of the VAN during the evenings/weekend including fuel-card....That was in the Bagshot area BTW....

    There are web sites that have pay ready reckoners on them. Can't scan for one from work but try the usual supects, you may find it

    In all seriousness I'd forget about permanent jobs if you have the skills mate....

    slave wages for doing a slave's job.... and in all reality, just how 'permanent' is a permanent job anyway these days....?
    At least with contract work, you know when to start aggressively looking for a new job weeks/months in advance.....;)

    I've spoken to some agencies regarding relocating to northern ireland and they seem to think that I'd have to take a pay cut...pah!

    Some very wise words...there is no such thing as a permanent job....Also with contract work it is accepted that you look in the open for other work, no need to do it hush-hush and in my experience 8 out of 10 times the extension paperwork magically comes through...Unless you are no good ofcourse....
