Sagem HD-D56 and HDCP

I had a HDCP problem in the combination Sagem HD-D56 with my Samsung DVD HD-945. In intervals of about 10 min, I got typical HDCP picture errors.
Fortunately the Samsung can be hacked to output HDCP free signal and the error has gone now.

Now I'm interested who made the troubles (I'm sure it was the Samsung ;) ).

What is your experience with HDCP devices connected to the Sagem?

can you give some examples of the errors you experienced?

I have a Samsung HD-850 connected to my HD-D56 via a HDMI-DVI cable for the last 2 months or so and have never experienced any problems.

The problem is that during the movie, the picture disappears for about 1-2 seconds , substituted by "snow" (is this correct word for a "picture" you get when there is no source?). Audio continues without a problem.
To my knowledge, this is typical for a failure in the HDCP protocol, i.e. when you hav an input device without HDCP you get a continuing picture - snow - picture transition.

So the effect is highly visible.
