Can anyone help with this query? I am about to order the Sagem HD-D45 and am hoping to connect it to my Pioneer DV868AVI Dvd player via HDMI. I note the sagem has DVI input only and the user manual for my Dvd player suggests there may be some compatibilliy issues. Has anyone on these forums used the DVI input on the Sagem for Dvd connection and if so, has it performed ok?

    All responses greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't have any problems connecting the HDMI output to the Sagem's DVI input with the appropriate cable, they're both HDCP devices so they should be OK. I know the're some issues regarding connecting HDMI to a non-HDCP compatible DVI device but this shouldn't be the case here.

DVI-D is close to HDMI without the sound. It will work fine with an adapter or better with a quality cable.

Cheers for the help guys, I'll have a look for an adapter or suitable cable.
