Hi I have a Sagem D45 and a Panasonic SCHT1500 DVD recorder. I am testing some component leads from a local AV shop and I am unable to view the video output on the TV. When I switch the TV to AV5 (component video input) all I get on the screen is No Signal.

Now it may be that there is an issue with the DVD recorder but I just want to check that I haven't missed a setting on the TV. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure you have set up the interface as 'on' in the source section of the setup? It is default to off.

Yep I have all of the sources on, that is SCART1,2,3, AV4,5,6, PC1,2. The component input is AV5. S-Video input AV4 works fine as do the scart inputs. I have tried a 3 different component cables but no signal is still received.

Any chance you are sending a progressive signal to an interlaced socket (or vica-versa) - my Samsung SP50 detects this fine, but my Sagem 50 (when I had it) didn't - you had to pick the right socket

Sagem 45 only has one component input which is Interlaced & Progressive.

I think dunsters means have you set up the component interface as 'on' on the Panasonic DVD Recorder as the DVD Recorder comes with Component turned off.

My newly arrived SAGEM HD-D45S doesn't understand progressive via SCART RGB (which is fine) but progressive is OK via Component. Now the Component IN doesn't accept interlaced from my Elta 8883 MP4 DivX player... strange.
