    Yep, that's the bulb in question - you need to remove the existing one from the cradle it sits in but that should be fairly straightforward. Best to get some of those latex gloves as you don't want to touch the bulb directly, this will seriously impair its life (similar issue to handling headlamp bulbs, the grease on your fingers causes issues).

    i always thought that when replacing the bulb and not the housing, you had to disable the counter and therefore run the risk of the new bulb exploding.

    i was wondering if someone could tell me whether this would allow the counter to be reset and would then stop usage of the new bulb after 8000 hours:
