The speaker in my Toshiba RPTV (42wh36) is reasonable so I though I would play audio CD's through the DVD player, however it displays a large still DVD-RAM logo whilst playing. Do I have to put the contrast / brightness to 0 to avoid any screen burn or is it ok at the level I usually have it (35) ?

i would have thought that it's advisable for RP tv to turn down the contrast/brightness. isn't there any options in the dvd player menus to dim/turn off the screen saver?
