Sad, I know, but I'm looking for a HDD/DVDR with component output IN BLACK!

Don't like silver, but it seems there's no choince when it comes to HDD/DVDRs. Anyone know differently? Anything on the horizon?

Not in the UK that I know of.
On the continent you often get a choice... take a look at http://www.technikdirekt.de/

They have a Panny EH52 in black...

You may have issues with the analogue tuner though...

i've only ever seen recorders without the HDD in black.

Thanks very much, guys. I can't find a review of the Sharp, so don't know how good it is. The Panny 52 is not Pal I, which I suspect is what the '2' means, and also it may tune over a different part of the UHF band to the UK model. At least the UK '50' is half black, half siver, so I may be able to live with it!
