s301 help needed - hd picture issues

I recently bought the s301. i use it with a Panasonic Plasma TV. When I turn to an HD channel I now have gray bars at the top & bottom. I did not these issues.
I have tried all kinds of settings on both the tv and s301 but I can't seem to change this issue.

I am sure this can be fixed. Can anyone help me?
