I have just bought a digital video camera which has an s-video connection. My tv is 6 years old and doesn't have an s-video connection although i have bought a scart converter.

My problem is although i get a picture from the camera it is in black and white?

    Any idea's?

Sounds like the TV is 'looking' for a composite video signal. And what t is seeing is the luma (black&white) part of the SVideo signal. The colour part of the signal is carried on a separate wire for Svideo.

If your TV doesn't have an SVideo input at all then you'll need to use composite video. I guess your DVC has such an output.

If your TV has SVideo - but only via SCART - your converter is OK, but you may need to 'tell' the TV to look for an SVideo signal on the relevant input. Consult the TV manual.
