I now cabling is a contentious issue, I’ve been reading the forums for a while but here goes,
I have an old JVC dvd player (about 5-6 year old) connected to a Themescene H30 projector with a 10m long Techlink s-video cable.

I’ve had this for about a year, the PQ is quite good and I’m impressed with the colours and depth of image. The dvd player does not have progressive scan and am thinking of upgrading to the Pioneer 575.

My question is would the Pioneer 575 connected with 10m long component cables provide a significant visible improvement in PQ. I’m on a tight budget so need to way up the possible improvement (if any) against the outlay.

(System: H30 projector, JVC dvd, Sony STRB795 receiver, JBL fronts, Mission centre & rears)

    Any advise much appreciated
