I have a JVC S-VHS VCR connected by Scart (fully wired) to my Quintro box and then on by Scart to my Panny TH37PW7. With the VCR set to S-Video out the picture is in b&w. If I switch the output to plain Video the colour returns. Can anyone tell me how I get colour with the best output on this set-up?

    Thanks in advance.

Actually you should be able to do this simply by pressing the input button again.

Tried pressing the Input button but this just cycles between input boards (and I only have the one - Scart). didn't understand HD's comment fully. How do you access the set up for the scart board? The screen manual gives no clues and seems to imply that S-Video is only available on NTSC? Am I missing something?

Hmm, I have client who is currently running s-video switching while their new extension is finished. This is via scart, I remember having this issue, they even have the JVC! There, a 2nd press of the input button and it burst into colour. I have no scart board in my 7 currently, I'll bung one in if you are still stuck, give it a try. It's complicated here though, all sorts hanging off my screen.

Thanks for the offer MAW which I happily accept. ;) I've tried everything else without success. I really do wonder whether this screen accepts S-Video on the scart board?

I can tell you that on the PW6 with the SCART board, then an extra press of the input button when the image is black and white, will make it colour.

I have a JVC S-VHS video. So if it is not working, it may suggest an issue with the PW7.

OK, I'll get the board in, in the interests of science.

Sorry not yet, it'll be tomorrow night before I get a chance, we've been decorating. I'll bung the results on 'get yer plasmas out' soon.
