Hi, i need a decent quality lead to connet dvd player to my tv but im a bit of a cable novice.

Is S-Video to Scart better than Scart To Scart?
(in my case s-video connected to dvd and scart connected to tv)

If so has anyone got any recommendations for decent leads?

In theory, scart is marginally better than s-video, when used in RGB mode. However, s-video, because it is a dedicated cable, carries fewer signals than scart, so the risk of crosstalk is much lower. S-video does not carry audio, so you will need other audio connections. You don't need to pay a fortune for a decent cable - just avoid the really cheap ones.
