    Hi,

Making up an s video cable and bought a length from one of the well known suppliers. Was surprised to see that cable had 2 unscreened cores and just a braid around both cores - which was also used as the Y/C earths. Using it there was a noticelable "dot crawl" compared with a cable with each core coaxially screened.

Am I correct in thinking/insisting that both cores should be individually screened for a decent low interference s video cable???

Yes. As well as the potential for cross-talk, the cable is very unlikely to have a 75 ohm impedance, which will increase the possibility of unwanted signal reflections.
