    Thanks Wally!

Has anyone bought one of these unit from Germany and are there any problems doing so (i.e. are manuals in English)??

    Cheers,

    Jon.

There are many people who have bought from Germany and several threads on the subject. Short answer is "no, there isn't a problem" :)

    Hi,

I would recommend you do not use Hifi component though. I tried to buy a plasma from them and after 8 weeks gave up. It took another 8 weeks to get the money refunded. I also live in Germany so it should have been easier. I am not the only one who has had this problem. Use Technikdirect or TSN Versand who seem to have a better reputation. On the manuals front I have bought lots of items local in Germany and in 99% of cases there is an english manual. If not you can usually find it on the net.

    Thanks again!

The RX-V750 is a reciever (i.e. it has an integrated RDS tuner)
The DSP-AX750SE is an amplifier that is only available in the UK. It's supposed to have upgraded components 'tuned' to the English ear.

As far as I can tell, the RX-V750 would be the same as a DSP-AX750 (not available in UK) with a tuner. Who knows what effect the UK SE specification will have on the sound?

What I do know is that you can get a DSP-AX750SE for £350 from RicherSounds and an RX-V750 for just over £300 inc delivery from Germany.

They're both going to fix the lip sync issue with my Hitachi 32PD5200 plasma screen and they should both be sound better than my ageing DSP-595A. I think i'll go for the RX-V750 as the Hitachi has already bankrupted me...

    Hi,
Just to let you know I recieved my RX-V750 today from Germany. Just 5 days from placing the order including the weekend. Now I just have to set it all up :)
I can't say I'll be spending much more money on electronics in the UK anymore..... :)

    Thanks all!

    Jon.
