I'm about to buy a Panasonic TH37PV500 and wall mount it to above a fireplace ...I can't put the cables into the wall as it is solid brick and Wife isn't too keen on channeling

Anyway, fellow member, the point of my post is that I'm planning to connect TH37PV500 with a HDMI cable to a Yamaha RX V2600 (when it comes out)...Am I correct that I can route visual sources (DVD / VHS) via the amp (for switching) and upscale the output to 720p...therefore I just need one cable...I don't really want the BT exchange cabling effect and want to use that HD capability of the PV500...You thoughts please. Cheers.

PS Yes and I am AV noob who has done some reading but I don't want to make an expensive mistake!
