    Quick Q.

If I make recording s on a Sony GX300 on RW, is it possible to copy them easily onto -R using a DVDRW drive on a PC?

    Hi

Yes, use something like DVD MovieFactory 3 Disc creator, it will do this. See the thread at the top of this forum, what applies to DVD-RAM also applies to DVD-RW.

    Regards

    Cheers for the info.

Must admit, I am starting to lean toward the GX300 rather than the DMR-E55 purely because of the ability to copy stuff from rewriteable discs onto -R, as my PC doesn't have a -RAM compatable drive

If you get a Pioneer 108D PC drive (£55) it will read RAM and give you up to 16x DVD-R (and 16x DVD+R)
That way you don't have to limit yourself to the Sony
