    Hi

Just got the 42PE50 and well impressed with it so far.

I've read a little on here about running-in the set, then calibrating the picture using DVE or similar after about 150-200 hours use.

I have it on Cinema mode, which seems the popular choice (and I can see why!). But what brightness/contrast/colour settings do you recommend for the first 150-200hrs of 'running-in'?

    Thanks
    BB

I'm getting this screen next week so any input on settings would be great! :)

i think the general concensus on the brightness and contrast is somewhere between 30 - 50 while running it in.

    My settings are ---cinema
    contrast half way
    brightness about a third
    colour half way
    sharpness about a fifth
    colour balance cool
    all thr rest OFF
it looks good at that setting, might just need a bit more contrast and couour
    after 200 hours.
