Running an HDTV from my PC

Active Member
I recently bought a panasonic 42" G15 plasma TV. I have hooked it up via a DVI to HDMI lead. What is the score about running the two displays either is clone or dualview? In clone view the display dosen't quite fit the TV, it is almost like overscan is turned on (it isn't) If I set up Dualview, all I get on the TV is a copy of my desktop background picture. What settings do I need to sort out to be able to use the TV properly, say for gaming or suchlike?
I am running the latest Nvidia drivers and my Graphics card is an 8800 GTX.
