Seen one of these for sale. Do they operate by themselves or do they need another module for input. I know Runco are good but some of their projectors are 2 box systems. Is this? Having trouble deciding on a projector. Originally wanted the Screenplay 5700 then out came the Panny AE 700 which on paper seems better. Then throw in some cheap CRT's on ebay and my mind is in a turmoil. Which way should I go. Thanks for any advice.

I would say you have a choice of 4-5 projectors !!
The upcoming Sony VPL-HS50 ( Hi Def, 6000:1 contrast ratio, £1899)
See the full specs at: http://www.avland.co.uk/sony/vplhs50/vpl-hs50.htm

The Panasonic AE700 as you mentioned

    The Optoma H57 ( 3500:1 contrast ratio, DLP, Widescreen 1024 x 576 £1899)
    See full specs at: http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/product.asp?id=3603

    The Sanyo Z3

    The Infocus ScreenPlay 5700 ( DLP, 1024x576 PAL Prog, 1400:1 contrast )

If it were my money, I'd wait for the Optoma H57!!
