    Whats the word on the new(ish) Runco DLP (CL500, I think) ??

    Anyone demo-ed ?

    Opinions please ?

    Saw the CL500 a month or so back ...

    It was my first experience of a DLP projector - I wanted to see if I was suspect to the rainbow problem ... unfortunately I was (quite badly!) I've stayed with LCD!!!

    If this isn't a problem for you I can confirm the CL500 gives a 'nice' picture, with good black levels and colours. However I think it is way over priced and has only got a low-res 4:3 ratio chip.

    I think the CL700 is a higher-res 16:9 model, but you're getting into HT300+ money there.

    Oh yes, 4:3.... forgot about that... major consideration...
