Ruddy Hell! It's Harry And Paul - Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse

Anyone remember that episode of Harry Enfield when Paul whitehouse sang Opera (Fruit & Veg sellers I think)...

Man has he got a half decent voice!

Read a quick snippet in the TV guide. Looks like classic stuff. Can't wait to see the "Posh Builders".

I thought it was brilliant. well written, well acted and really funny. Does anyone know if its going to be repeated.

I thought the total opposite and one of the worse things H + P have done. There was nothing funny about it.

I thought a few bits were amusing, but found most of it not.

I quite liked the posh builders, bono and the edge and one bit in the laurel and hardy sketch (the bit where olly turned sideways while still 'engaged')

Is it a series or a one off?

I thought that was poor taste taking the rise that way of 2 of the most loved comedy actors that there’s been.

not seen it myself, but sending up comedians of true genius, sounds like struuggling for new and funny materail to me. Shame, as i was a big fan of harry on friday night live, and the harry enfeild and chums series (earlier ones).

I guess if you think Stephen Fry is witty or Mr bean cleaver or U2 make good music then you are not going to find this program funny.

I loved the laurel and hardy sketch. They are pulling no punches. I only hope they can keep it up.

If they have to ridicule far greater comedians who will be long remembered and revered when these two a distant memory or long forgotten, with this porn I would say there scraping the barrel.

In a way, it's a tribute. They are using the same type of humour but are making funny and modern.

I bet if you watch a laurel and hardy movie today, you would bearly get a laugh.

At the end of the day, it's a matter of taste. If you like Mr bean, Laurel and Hardy type of commedy then good for. I even find that kind of humour funny now and again.

I think there’s a large following of Laurel and Hardy on the forums and I have watched the less than a year ago and was rolling with laughter especially the one where there in a haunted house. My humour runs to more than Mr Been which I cannot say I particularly find all that funny, which for some reason you tagged Laurel and Hardy fans with. I like Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Father Ted, Alexis Sayles, Two Ronnie’s, The Young Ones, A Kick up the Eighties, Naked Video, South Park, Family Guy amongst many.

So you see my humours not set in one class what I saw the other night was not funny but personally class as something the likes of you see drawn on a toilet wall with someone kid chuckling to himself all the time he was drawing it.

Tribute? I love to have seen them get away with it doing Morecambe and Wise even though they were often in the same bed on TV.

I guess it comes down to a question of taste. I just found it the program funny. I liked that fact that they were taking digs at people who are put up on a pedistal. I can't say why I found this funny I just did.

I woudn't trust my tastes anyway. I like Benny Hill.

I would like to make the point humour often has a time when it is funny. And perhaps ones age when you see something. For example, Some like it hots is often reported as being the funniest move ever. I like this movie very much but I doubt I would laugh once watching now.

I also found it very dissapointing and turned off half way through.
Wont be watching any more of these

There were one or two small smiles from me but on the whole it was very disapointing and I certainly will not be watching the rest if the first one was anything to go by.

A couple of funny bits for me but mostly it was a big miss rather than a hit :(

alot of the sketches seemed to be lacking something.....the punchline.

I give it another go, the 1st one could of been the worst.

Yes, I'm going to give it another go.

Uttery rubbish, what ever happened to the good old days !

I can't believe that no one complained to the BBC about showing Laurel and Hardy having gay sex?

Very funny though
