    Hi all,

What speaker cable would you recommend for Ruark Epilogues II's & Dialogue II to a Marantz 7400, I'm currently using silver anniversary (i think) what do you reckon?

    Thanks

If it is Anniversary, I wouldn't be that keen to change it as it is good stuff. Have a look at the Audioquest range though as they do a lovely cable for about £15/m (which I's argue is the increase required to get any meaningful improvement). Of course if CJROSS finds this, he'll demand you whip the CAT5 out post haste .

Kazman check out the links posted by CJRoss in the Cables and Cabling FAQ post. There are quite a few links there and they all make interesting reading.

QED Qudos (aka QED Original) is pretty decent speaker cable. I wouldn't bother changing from one standard figure-8 geometry cable to another.

For speaker cable (or any other cable for that matter) the only upgrade really worth doing is to a well thought out DIY model. For speaker cable, Cat5 variants are flavour of the month, but I use some coaxial cable pairs to good effect (search for EvilTube Speaker Cable for more info). :)

Cat5 looks like a lot of work for me, but I would like to change to biwiring.
