I thought we could do with a general chat thread in this forum, since our chat messages tend to be spread around the other threads which should be focused on their topics (equipment, pedals etc.). So I'll start this off with my preoccupation for today, which is our new puppy! We are going to fetch her from the breeder tonight. She's called Oona, and here's a photo that the breeder posted on Facebook yesterday.

Aye always makes me think of sitting in my mates' mum's summer house thing as a 16 year old, some of the earth's finest and the crappest CD player ever, great journey of an album.

Although I can't help but think some of the music is a bit porno tuney now when I hear it lol!

Some of the photos that the breeder posted on Facebook of her and her brother are amazingly cute, and it seems almost wicked to split them up. We hope that we will provide a happy home for her, though..

They will be introduced tonight, at the breeder's house. We want to introduce them somewhere that isn't his territory, to reduce the risk of him acting defensively when they first meet. He's normally very friendly with other dogs but I don't think we've brought one into his house before.

We are going to be very careful with cables, guitars etc. until we know whether she's a chewer or not! Yoda is fine, he doesn't do anything like that, but we might not be so lucky again.

It feels sad to separate her from her brother - they look so sweet together - but we will try our best to make her happy in her new home, and at least she won't be alone.

I'm sure she'll be fine. We got a Yorkie puppies last year to go with our 2 year old Cav.

The Yorkie didn't seem to miss his brothers and sisters much and soon settled in and has been ruling the roost ever since, despite being a lot smaller than the Cav :)

Rather poor quality, from my old phone, but the first photo of us at home. We tool quite a few photos and videos at the breeder's house this evening but they are on other cameras.
    IMAG1952.jpg

She's asleep upstairs now (upstairs = in the dining area, as this is a town house type place with the garage and my music room on the ground floor, living area on the 1st floor and bedrooms on the 2nd).

The only fly in the ointment today was that it's been an awful day for my hay fever. Don't even really feel like playing the guitar now :(

Total joke isn't it, there's something flawed about insurance, paying for other people's claims, to me you should be given at least 50% back from your policy costs every year if you don't claim... you know they would just double the quotes though sadly.

Never bothered with insurance on our two. £51 seems excessive, cheaper just to buy a new cat

Yep. Really cross about it. Will just stick money asides myself and then at least I know there will be no exclusions.

That said I know full well that if I cancel it the cat will get poorly.

Insurance seems to me one of those businesses that you just can't lose at, if you don't get any claims, you're quids in, if you do, you just up everyone's premium the next year to get your money back :)

That's probably a much more sensible way of doing things. You can bet if you need to claim they'll discover some clause which means you weren't covered anyway :(

Besides, another benefit, if you've put all the money aside and the cat stays healthy, you can buy yourself some new guitar gear :rotfl:

    An
Dont joke. Wouldnt mind so much if it was a pedigree. We got her from Battersea Cats & Dogs home; paid £30 and had to take her back a week later because the little hussy had Chlamidia.

Buy one get one free :)

Don't think I've ever paid more than a tenner for a cat. They're just as likely to get the hump and bugger off and live with someone else :rotfl:
