    Hi.
I phoned a few branches of Rs today to see if Paradigm are not going to be sold in the future. But no one knew anything really.
    Does anyone have concrete answer?
    Thanks
    Gary

I believe they have had fall out and as far as stock is concerned when it's gone it's gone.

if RS stop selling Paradigm I'm sure that someone else will step into the breach and continue.

I wrote a scathing letter to Julian Richer regarding my Servo15 order and forwarded a copy via e-mail to Nick Halliday (Richer Sounds Paradigm contact). I've yet to hear from Mr Richer but Nick Halliday failed to respond and instead forwarded my e-mail to customer services. It is the usual fob-off and avoided answering the many issues i had raised but had this to say about the Paradigm situation...

Ahhh so thats why all our Canadian DVD orders take months to arrive!!
never EVER again will i deal with this company

That's a load of old lobbocks as any self respecting distributor (of anything) will carry a stock of spare parts.

If you have quoted the email verbatim it contains an unusual turn of phrase :-

"Unfortunately,it is indeed true that Richer Sounds will no longer be obtaining products from Paradigm. "

This can be read several ways.

    Hi.
I was speaking to a branch of RS today, who said they would get Paradigm subs in themselves even if the rest of the group stopped dealing with them. But the wait could be up to 6 months.

Is it a franchise then ?

Otherwise, how can an individual branch purchase outside the group. There's something sniffy that we don't know about. If I remember rightly one of the moderators either works for RS or is well connected as he has passed on snippets in the past although I can't remember whether his predictions ever came to pass.

When I asked, about 4 months ago, whether or not I could get some Paradigm Reference speakers the manager said this:

"Paradigm make very good speakers, but we lost the hifi license for some reason...we will only be selling centres, subs and a few rears, and I dont know when stock will be arriving"

I suppose thats why you havent been able to buy mainstream Paradigm products for some time. This is a shame as my Reference fronts are exceptional. Perhaps this falling out is a good thing and a more professional distributor will handle this brand.

Gary, please could you let me know which Branch this is. Either by this thread, pm or e-mail. I haven't completely given up on getting a servo-15 yet and am still to collect my deposit from my local RS. As long as they don't want money up front then they are welcome to try and get me one. Did they give any reason as to why it could take upto 6mths to arrive, i mean driftwood moves faster than that!

Ian, the e-mail quote is a direct copy/paste.

The falling out is going to be the end of bargain subs I fear.
Only 10 days ago I was promised RS were not ending with Paradigm.
Paradigm have a deserved following at RS prices and compare with products twice the price.
If any company takes on distribution watch the Servo 15 price hit £800+.
I can't believe the "long delay for service parts" reason. Many companies take ages to supply spares, and they aren't in Canada. RS is happy to sell their products.
    It's something else.
