Hi All

I am planning to turn a wireless router(still to purchase) into an access point to provide wifi in my loft space, my question is will i still be able to use the remaining Ethernet ports to connect to games console etc?

Excellent. Thanks

You could always buy a separate switch and AP which are designed to do the job, rather than a router where you don't need a third of its functions. Depends on how much you want to spend I guess.

Thanks. Don't want to spend too much as just looking to put basic WiFi and direct connections in the kids rooms

Fair enough. Should be loads of free/cheap broadband routers lying about the homes of the UK that you could use to do this :). I threw 5 or 6 of the damn things out myself a couple of months ago, sorry! Worrying how many you can accumulate over the years of swapping BB suppliers.

I have thrown a few out myself. Going to keep my eye open for hopefully a 5ghz one
