The Rotel RSX965 has a phono stage, which is nice as I have a poorly neglected turntable. Wondered if anyone knew if the RSX972 had the same ?

Looking at the rear of the 972 in the manual there is no input labled phono (where as the 965 does) and therefore I would have thought it highly unlikely that it has a phonostage built in

OK well that's not so much an issue now, as I'll probably go for an external phono amp. Now all I have to do is track down an RSX 972 for sale !!!

With all the hi-fi's I have owned with a built in phono stage built in I have always found a 1/2 decent external stage gives better results - now if only I could justify a Cyrus phono stage my system would be complete - and she would approve of everything matching
