Been reading about this beast a bit.

    Anyone got one?

Just how do they compare to the Bryston 4B and TMC 100x5 (biamped)?

At 375W RMS x 2 and 1.25KW x 2 the specs look impressive, and the reviews read well, but has anyone compared them to anything else?

Did that guy give you his comments about the Tag 5 channel? (that email contact with Audiolab/Tag gear)

I don't think that Rotel has enough power for Bose speakers :D

What speakers are you planning to use?

Mates got a 200W Rotel, that's stonking.. dunno why you need over 300W!

    He did thanks.

Interesting, but now looking further up the chain :)

Speakers are Epos ES30, rated at 375W RMS per channel. (IIRC)

Its not the max power that counts, but if the PSUs can provide 2.5KW of power when needed, never mind what the storage capacitors can provide, the amp ain't going to have trouble delivering any peaks :)

I current got this unit as an ex-demo and it sounds fantastic. I am longer at the moment looking at upgraing this amp and I think it will be with me for a long time.

Just as an aside. Before I bought this I listened to the RMB 1095 against the 5channel Meridian amp which is about 2.5 times the price of the Rotel. The Meridian was better but not much so in my opinion to buy it over the Rotel.

I saw the advert for the RB-1090 after this demo and just had to have. So if you have the money give it a listen against other competition, I bet you will be surprised at what you get for your money.

It's a very good amp and in my opinion compares well with some costing significantly more(the TAG for instance).
