Would there be any point in changing a nad3020e amp for a rotel ra01?
I have recently bought a pair of Kef q1,s and an Arcam Alpha 8 cd player
I was lacking in bass a touch so bought a van den hul d102 interconnect and am really surprised at the difference in sound--didn,t think it was possible for a bit of wire can make so much difference :) .
Anyway !! The rotel seems to be going for very reasonable prices on ebay and wonder how a rotel would differ from the nad and if it would give me any discernible difference in sound?I need a phono stage so that is why I am looking at the rotels --I may hang on until i see a 1062 2nd hand or can afford a new RA03 but I have seen RA01,S going for around a 100 quid on ebay so may try one anyway?
    Whaddya reckon???

The RA-01 is a lovely amp for the money, and I think you'd see a nice improvement over the NAD. The RA-01 is pretty competitive even with amps costing double or even more in some cases in my experience & opinion.

The RA-01 is amazing. No-brainer for £100. But it immediately!

I owned the RA-02 amp for bout a year and it sounded fantastic - a unique thrilling sound that worked well with whatever I played.! I recently brought and RA-1062 on ebay for 370, selling my RA-02 for 220 - a very good upgrade finacially! Theres no doubt that the RA-1062 is a notch above the 02 series - more detailed, more focused and more engaging. They come up quite rarely on ebay - so i would get an RA-01, then perhaps get a good deal on a RA-1062 sometime in the future.
