Do those of you with Rotel pre/power setups use the DB25 connector on the back of the equipment ?

I have just bought a second-hand RB985mkII which has this RS232 connector, which I understand can be used to connect from a Rotel pre-amp/processor.

It looks like this offers a benefit in terms of slightly less cable clutter at the back of your rack, although any other comments would be welcome.

DB-25 It's basically a multi-channel input, I think determined by Lucasfilm or someone of that type. It's used more on pro gear.

RS232 is different though, and is used for control systems.
