Agreed and, imho, assuming your current amp has the chops for the speakers you need it to drive, shelling out for a new one is a load of money in search of, at best, a very small change in sound. It seems amps are getting more and more expensive
Think I'm going with the A14MkII. In the U.S. if you can't buy it on Amazon then Crutchfield is the easiest to work with and has the best service and returns. I can only get MF gear from a few places and they aren't that easy to work with so not to keen on buying a 7-year old model that could be obsolete shortly. I'm already dealing with an integrated that is no longer being made and having a hard time selling it without having to give it away for half off.
More than enough chops for my current speakers (B&W CM1) and probably still plenty enough for any future upgrade (keep looking lustfully at B&W 805Ds that a dealer has for sale ex-display and hoping they’ll still be there next year).Agreed and, imho, assuming your current amp has the chops for the speakers you need it to drive, shelling out for a new one is a load of money in search of, at best, a very small change in sound.
